Polychrome Jasper (also called Desert Jasper) is a delightful new find from Madagascar! It was discovered by geologists in 2006 while searching for Ocean Jasper. It was named for its multi colors. Jasper, a form of chalcedony, is an opaque, impure variety of silica, usually red, yellow, brown or green in color (Blue is rare). Polychrome Jasper is a healing stone that signifies being true to yourself, embracing life enthusiastically, honoring limitations, as well as a fiery energy, which facilitates action and courage.
